What is AdaptAble Pathways?

AdaptAble Pathways is a boutique special education support service providing personalized instruction, executive function support, social learning guidance, and family consultation for children and teens with diverse learning needs. Services are provided by a licensed and experienced special education teacher with extensive classroom experience in both public school and Extended Content settings.

Who do you work with?

AdaptAble Pathways supports students with a variety of learning differences and support needs, including:

  • Autism

  • Intellectual and developmental disabilities

  • ADHD/executive functioning challenges

  • Learning disabilities

  • Students on the Extended Content Standards

  • Students needing adapted or individualized instruction

  • Homeschool families seeking educational support
     

What services do you offer?

Services may include:

  • Special education instruction

  • Functional academics (literacy, math, life skills)

  • Executive functioning support

  • Social learning support

  • Parent consultation

  • IEP support and strategy sessions
     

Where are services provided?

Services are offered:

  • In-home

  • Virtually

  • In select community settings when appropriate

AdaptAble Pathways proudly serves Apex, New Hill, Cary, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Moncure parts of Chatham County near Pittsboro, and surrounding Triangle-area communities.
 

Are you a licensed teacher?

Yes. Services are provided by a North Carolina licensed special education teacher with 12 years of classroom experience in public education.

Do you provide therapy services?

No. AdaptAble Pathways is not a therapeutic practice and does not provide:

  • Speech therapy

  • Occupational therapy (OT)

  • Physical therapy (PT)

  • ABA therapy

  • Mental health counseling or psychotherapy

Services are educational and consultation-based only.

Do you replace school services or homeschooling requirements?

No. AdaptAble Pathways is a supplemental educational support service and does not replace public school services, private school enrollment, or homeschool legal requirements. Families remain responsible for meeting all homeschool and educational compliance requirements.


What does a typical session look like?

Sessions are individualized based on student needs and goals. A session may include:

  • Adapted academic instruction

  • Visual supports

  • Functional skill practice

  • Executive functioning strategies

  • Social communication practice

  • Movement or sensory breaks as appropriate

  • Parent communication and support


How long are sessions?

Acadmic sessions are approximately 45 minutes, though customized service packages may be available depending on student needs. Social and Executive Function Coaching sessions are 30 minutes.


Do you provide progress updates?

Yes. Families receiving ongoing services may receive:

  • Progress monitoring

  • Parent communication

  • Monthly summaries or reports

  • Invoices and scheduling updates


Can you attend IEP meetings?

IEP support services may include:

  • Reviewing educational documents

  • Helping families prepare questions and goals

  • Explaining special education processes

  • Strategy consultations

Do you offer a consultation?

Yes. AdaptAble Pathways offers a free introductory virtual consultation to learn more about your child, discuss concerns, and determine whether services may be a good fit for your family.
